Paul Maher Jr.

Mr. Maher is an independent scholar and writer from Massachusetts. He has earned a B.A. in American Studies and a Master's degree in English and Education. Maher currently has four published books with two others forthcoming.

Maher is currently researching and writing a biography of Henry David Thoreau. He is also transcribing the Thoreau's half-million words of native Aboriginal extracts as well as locating all of the main sources used by Thoreau in this series of notebooks. Each of these notebooks will be independently published by Maher available for Thoreau research. Look for the first and second notebooks to be published some time in Winter 2008/09.

Maher is also seeking funding to complete a documentary on Henry David Thoreau titled CONTACT, CONTACT!. This documentary will be filmed on location at the many places Thoreau visited and wrote about so often in his lifetime. The music of composers David Aram and Francesco Lupica will enhance the powerful imagery and words of Thoreau featured prominently in CONTACT, CONTACT!
